Alfred Wegener,
Father of Plate Tectonics
Scientist who created the theory of Continental Drift. No one took this theory seriously because at the time, it seemed outrageous. After his death other scientists started to look at the continents and began to see what Wegener saw. It's sad that no one believed him while he was alive, but he grew famous for this theory even though he was six feet deep.
